<p>An international jazz festival at a stunning location inside the <a href="https://oldtown-rhodes.com/palace-of-the-grand-masters-of-rhodes/">medieval castle of the island of Rhodes</a>.The Festival has hosted important Greek and international artists under Dimitri Vassilakis artistic direction.Has presented themes like the women’ s role and voice in jazz, jazz democracy, jazz and artificial intelligence, jazz and poetry.</p>
<p>The festival has collaborated with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Georgia Institute off Technology in Atlanta, and has received the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture and Sports.</p>
<p>The festival’s philosophy and goal is to make cultural bridges with international jazz festivals, artists, forums, and educational institutions, including an important new collaboration with Bodrum Jazz Festival in Turkey and also to promote young Greek jazz musicians and local talent from Rhodes and the South Aegean.</p>
<h2>THE FESTIVAL</h2>
<p>THE RHODES INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE PALACE OF THE KNIGHTS FROM AUGUST 30TH AND 31ST.</p>
<p>Message from the organization.</p>
<p>Jazz democracy, peace, creativity, originality, communication, dialogue between musicians and cultures&#8221; is the message from founder and artistic director Dimitri Vassilakis who since 2018 expanded the initial Rhodes Jazz Festival during the years 2015/2016 that he was the artistic director and co organizer.</p>
